Sunday hurricane Ike decided to visit Oldham County and the surrounding counties, and we are one of many to lose power! Savannah and I went to church with MiMi and Papa and on the way there I noticed the wind was something strange. During church lights flickered and you could hear the wind whistling outside and this lasted until the evening. Once I got home from church and changed we lost power and still don’t have power. They are saying it could last up to 2 weeks. Luckily Aunt Sissy, Uncle Chad and Logan never lost power so we are staying at their house until the power comes back on. We continue to pray that the power is not out that long but thanks Aunt Sissy, Uncle Chad and Logan for letting us crash at their house. We have taken over Chad’s “Man Cave.”
I know we can survive without power considering in 2004 we didn’t have power for 2 weeks but we also didn’t have a 2 1/2 year old. That makes things a little different plus, since Aunt Sissy, Chad and Logan only live about 5 minutes away with power it’s makes my decision to stay there much easier because we can run home if we need something.
Another special thanks for MaMaw and Papa for keeping Tony and Ginger. We sure do miss them too but I think daddy might take them home tonight and rough it out.

I hope the power is restored soon, we are also in the dark. The 10-14 day estimation seems like forever!
